Your privacy and local data

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how DNS Flow — Fast DNS Changer (the “App”) handles information when you use the App.

The App is provided by Future Insight Vision Technology Limited and developed under NextVision Studio.

DNS Flow does not require you to create an account. We do not operate our own backend server for collecting or storing your personal information.

2. Information We Process

2.1 DNS Queries and DNS Logs

To provide DNS routing and help you understand DNS activity, the App may record the following information locally on your device:

Domain names or hostnames queried
DNS query results
The time of the query

DNS Flow does not record the name of the app that originated a DNS query, and it does not record your IP address in its DNS logs.

The App records domain names only. It does not record full URLs, URL paths, query parameters, or the content you view or transmit.

DNS logs are stored locally on your device. Previous connection logs are cleared when a new DNS connection starts, and DNS Flow does not upload these logs to our servers.

2.2 App-Specific DNS Routing

If you use app-specific DNS routing or bypass features, the App processes your routing selections locally on your device. These selections are not transmitted to us.

2.3 App Settings

The App may store settings locally, including your selected DNS server, routing preferences, IPv6 settings, and background operation preferences.

3. Third-Party DNS Providers

DNS Flow allows you to select and use third-party DNS providers. When DNS routing is active, DNS queries may be sent to the provider you select.

The selected DNS provider may independently process DNS queries according to its own privacy policy, security practices, and retention rules. We do not control the data practices of third-party DNS providers. You should review the privacy policy of your selected provider.

4. How We Use Information

Information processed by the App is used locally to:

Provide DNS routing functionality
Apply your selected DNS server and routing preferences
Display DNS query results and DNS logs
Maintain and support App features

We do not use this information for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell personal information.

5. Data Storage and Retention

DNS logs and settings created by DNS Flow are stored locally on your device.

Previous DNS connection logs are cleared when a new DNS connection starts.
App settings remain on your device until you change them, clear the App’s data, or remove the App.
Uninstalling the App will generally remove locally stored App data, subject to your device and Android backup settings.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share DNS logs collected by the App with advertisers or data brokers.

DNS queries are necessarily sent to the third-party DNS provider you select so that the DNS request can be resolved. That provider’s handling of DNS queries is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

7. Notifications and Background Operation

The App may display a notification while DNS routing is active, as required or supported by Android. If you enable background operation, the App may continue running to maintain DNS routing.

8. Data Security

DNS Flow relies on Android networking features and the security of your device. When you use an encrypted DNS method such as DNS-over-HTTPS, DNS queries are encrypted in transit according to the selected provider’s implementation.

However, no device, network, software, or transmission method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

DNS Flow is not specifically directed to children. The App does not require account registration and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or our own backend service.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We may provide notice of material changes through the App and/or the App’s Google Play listing. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
